There are few things more uncomfortable than a shoulder ache. Just the other day I slept badly and woke up with such a deep pain above my arm and it was unbearable to do my normal tasks including typing at my desk. Shoulder aches have many activity-related causes including holding a baby, manual labor, poor posture, playing sports, swimming (one of the few injuries you can sustain swimming), and more. On the other hand, shoulder pain can also be a result of laparoscopic surgeries and diseases like “liver, heart or gallbladder disease

Most of the pain in our shoulders comes from muscles that are easily torn and pulled. For example, the rotator cuff can be torn and become painful making it ”difficult to lift your arm over your head if the tendons or bones around the rotator cuff are damaged”

Luckily there are some ways to relieve shoulder pain including Zim’s line of pain relief products:

Ice- icing the shoulder for 15 to 20 minutes, 3 or 4 times a day can help to reduce pain. The cold helps to reduce swelling, inflammation and pain. It can also help to prevent muscle spasms which will make healing easier.

Stretching- pain relief stretches can help to reduce shoulder tightness and allow the muscles to relax

Heat- just as icing can help with sore muscles so can applying heat. Heat helps open blood vessels which then assists the body in its ability to heal itself. In fact, alternating ice and heat can sometimes be an effective strategy depending on the pain you have.

Medicine- for some pain your doctor may suggest a medicine like ibuprofen or aspirin to reduce pain and swelling.

The Zim’s Max Freeze Liquid can be a great tool for reaching the rotator cuff and shoulder. It’s special long-neck applicator is very helpful and the menthol, aloe vera, arnica and other ingredients penetrate the muscle and help you to feel better quickly.
